It seems fitting to spend a few moments on the lottery coming up. Yes I know the odds are not in our favor, but I imagine most of us will at least look after all is decided to see how things turned out. Let's face it, long odds be dammed, I will stop on my way home tonight to buy a Lotto Texas ticket. I buy the same numbers each time and get ten pulls at once. The odds are a lot worse then the ones facing the Rockets tonight, but eventually some one will win. It is a pretty harmless diversion that costs $104 a year to have action working all the time that has a huge payoff if you get really lucky.

All that said, what if the home team catches lightening in a bottle and we go from 14 to 1-3? Hey it is not much more far fetched than some of the trade/free agent ideas I have seen on this blog before. How much damage do you think DM could do with a 1-3 and the 16th pick? Lets face it, there is not much else to talk about till the ping pong balls settle. One very lucky moment could do wonders for our home team.
