Given the generally lukewarm reception of the Rockets fandom on Jeremy Lin, this blog by Sekou Smith at Hang Time just seems odd.

You don't see Houston writers blogging stuffs like that.

People in the ClutchFans and The Dream Shake mostly doubt Jeremy Lin is the kind of player his devoted fans make him out to be. Most Old time Rockets Fans believe their FO made a mistake overpaying Lin and Asik, but more so with Lin. They would rather have kept Kyle Lowry and Goran Dragic. Some folks plainly say Lin s no Kyrie, or Wall or Rubio, in spite of that the athleticism analysis, 2012 games stats or advanced stats say otherwise. Look, if you go to the ClutchFans.net, you won't see Lin's face there. Instead it's Scott Machado's face on the front page. If you go on TDS, you see mostly talks about the rookies and the story front and center is on Kyle Lowry.

So there seems to be a disconnect. Who is right? What do you think?
