Quiet! Evil Genius At Work!

Work with me here. Think back to the end of the draft. No big trade, more power forwards, no "go-to guy". There was no joy in Mudville.

Fast forward to today. The Beard is legit, I won't go verbose on you, fill in the blanks. The guy has arrived.

Lin is who we thought he was. Not the savior of a franchise, but a real talent and an elite first step.

Asik is the Christmas gift we never knew we wanted but are just tickled shitless with. We can't even begin to explain how nice it is to have some guy that tall in the paint who can block a shot.

OK kids, here is the kicker. The All Star Game is here this year. All the big guns in the game will be visiting us, in our house. If you have never been there, it's a nice facility. Everyone who is anyone in the game, (owners, GMs, elite players not on the roster), will be here. DM will be like the host of this clambake. It just so happens that he has a grocery list of goodies available without even considering bids for the aforementioned guys.

We have a legit center, (I did not say anything about talent, just position. Hey Thabeet gets 12 minutes a game for the best team in the west). Several forwards, and a guard or two we could move. Did I mention all these guys are on stupid good/expiring contracts? And we can take back more salary than just about anyone. And Morey will have those guys here from 2/15 thru 2/17 and the deadline is the 21st.

Did he plan this? Nah, but if it works out I am guessing he goes to his grave swearing he did!
