Tracy McGrady attends Rockets training camp practice

A former Rockets legend made an appearance at practice today, and got to hang out with the duo of All-Stars set to replace him.

Nine years ago, the Rockets headed to training camp with incredible expectations. They had just succeeded in pairing a young star shooting guard with an equally exciting center, and the championship window seemed wide open. A few years later, Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming would be nothing more than albatross contracts to the team, and the Rockets would embark on a tough few years of rebuilding that would bring them Yao and McGrady's replacements, James Harden and Dwight Howard.

Today, those two worlds collided as newly retired Tracy McGrady stopped by the Rockets' practice to check it out. According to clutchfans, he came "just to hang out," and that in that time he talked with Daryl Morey, James Harden, and Dwight Howard.

Here's a picture clutchfans got of the man himself:

Now that McGrady has retired, the question obviously has to be asked whether he will have a role with the team in coaching capacity or something similar. Despite his disagreements with the front office in his last year with the team, he still was one of the most electrifying players in league history. and has an incredible wealth of knowledge to share with anyone.

Just don't ask him how to win a playoff series.
