There is one last spot for a euro player.
He's got to be young. He's got to have enough data to extrapolate weaknesses. He's got to be able to pass, shoot, and drive. All the things Parsons can do. If you look at the depth chart
http://espn.go.com/nba/team/depth/_/name/hou/houston-rockets
you see that our PF situation is still devoid of veterans. If Mchale won't start motiejunas, which is highly likely, then he's going to have to push Parsons to the 4. That leaves Delfino and Honeycutt at the 3. One is old and likely to get injured and the other needs d-league polish. Harden is going to have to play a lot of minutes so it doesnt matter who his backup is. But if Beverly or Lin get hurt, Harden will PG which makes the SG spot bereft of talent.
Which means that LAST spot has to go to a player that is SG/SF, hit threes, and facilitate when called upon.
I've narrowed down the list of current euro players to 6.
2fg%;3fg%;ASTRate
Alberto Aspe 50%fg;30%treys;1ast;55games;26yrs
Vladmir Bulut 58%fg;30%treys;0ast;15games;26yrs
Mike Helsby 35%fg;30%treys;3ast;19games;24yrs (Guy shoots a lot of free throws at a 89% clip hence the bad fg%)
Joseph Krabbenhoft 45%fg;37%trey;1.6assist;27games;26yrs. (shoots a lof of free throws at an 87%clip) 1.3 steals.
Brandon O'brien most aclaimed and youngest but i'm too lazy to grab the data.
I'm thinking Krabennhoft.
