The NBA needs to rid itself of hack-a-Dwight, son of hack-a-Shaq, soon to be hack-a(n?)-Omer. My proposal is that all such fouls be treated as flagrant fouls. All fouls that are not legitimate "basketball plays," would be flagrant fouls whether "hard" or not. I realize that some think there should be strong penalties for being a bad free throw shooter, but the current approach is unduly punitive to such players and makes a mockery of the game. More importantly, it makes for a bad fan experience as we watch the parade to the free throw line of incompetant shooters.
