Do y'all think McHale will opt to start Terrence Jones at power forward next season? I've heard some people say that Asik and Dwight will start together, but I don't think this is a very viable option. Neither of them can hit a shot more than five feet away from the rim, and while they could be very good defensively, having them on the court at the same time completely clogs the lane shutting down Harden's ability to drive.
Obviously, like last season, he has the option of moving Parsons down to play the stretch 4, but if he starts Parsons at the 4, Casspi would likely start at small forward and I'm not convinced he's starting quality.
Jones had a great summer league, averaging 15.8 points and 7 rebounds. He didn't see very much playing time last season in part because McHale prefers playing veterans over rookies, but mainly because he was buried behind a plethora of other power forwards. He's pretty athletic though, and while not a great shooter, he's able to spread the floor much more relative to someone like Greg Smith.
The power forward spot is the biggest question mark heading into next season, and I will be very interested to see how McHale chooses to address this situation.
