At this point, it's clear that Jeremy and Omer are overpaid backups. Morey should trade them to the Lakers for Pau and a future draft pick. It's a win-win situation for all.
Lakers get a solid starting center. Omer gets his wish to start.
They get Jeremy to lead their band of scrubs and rejects under D'Antoni. Kendall Marshall is putting up crazy assist numbers, but they are not winning so he's not getting the job done.
Rockets get rid of a grumbling Omer and his contract. They get rid of Lin who just doesn't fit Mchale's system. They get a championship-experienced big in Pau for this year's playoff run, plus his expiring contract. And they get a future draft pick.
Aaron Brooks gets his deserved backup PG role behind Bev. Brooks - as a lights-out shooter - is a much better fit in the Rockets' system.
Pau can anchor the offense in the post when Dwight is in foul trouble, or teams are in "smite a Dwight" mode.
Us fans will finally witness if Jeremy sucks, or if he can go Linsane again. Either way, it will be entertaining for all.
