BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everything else: Blah blah blah.
The NBA planned out the preseason to get all of the Rockets' demons/regrets out of the way early. They played Parsons first and now they'll get Chris Bosh. Both games were on the road so we don't have much of an idea as to how those two will be treated when they visit the Toyota Center. Well I have an idea, and it involves a lot of booing.
In all seriousness, the Rockets' starters have looked great in the preseason, and I think a starting five of Patrick Beverley-James Harden-Trevor Ariza-Terrence Jones-Dwight Howard is a recipe for a lot of success this season. Barring injuries, the Rockets are a team with the best 2-guard in the league, 3 players that are top 5 defenders at their positions (you could argue top 1 for Bev and Howard), and a power forward wildcard who can explode.
Had the Rockets landed Chris Bosh in the offseason, they would have a better starting five with a great stretch 4, but defensively they will still be lacking on the wings. And the defense might be better on the interior, but it would be worse on the perimeter. Plus, Houston's cap situation would be dire. Am I talking myself into this? It looks like it.
Tip-off is at 7pm CST on TNT.
