Would Gasol really turn down what Morey could have offered him???

Something that not enough people are talking about is after we struck out on Bosh/Melo, why didn't we go for Gasol harder? He would have been a perfect plan B after Bosh. Maybe Morey did try and we didn't hear much of it except for a tiny rumor but I can't see Gasol passing on 12-15 million per year for 3 years which we could have easily given him and still retained Parsons. The luxury tax would have been easier on Les's wallet too vs the Bosh max. A starting five of Bev, Harden, Parsons, Gasol, Howard would still have been the best starting 5 in the league.

Someone please explain to me why this wasn't a more prominent recruitment during FA...
