Corey Brewer wants to sign a long-term contract. He's done the talk of saying that he would love it to be in Houston and finish what they started last season. Daryl Morey and Kevin McHale both know that Brewer is a disrupter on the defensive end and a slasher/corner three knock-downer on the offensive end.
There's a lot to like about Brewer's game and that's why he's gaining a lot of interest from teams outside of Houston, most notably the Boston Celtics. The Celtics do have a hole at the small forward position and some money to offer Brewer to sign there and sign for a while. He would also probably become the day one starter, something that the Rockets probably cannot offer him at this moment. It will be interesting to see what Danny Ainge offers him.
The Los Angeles Clippers are also interested and they have a newly opened spot at the small forward position as well. Steve Ballmer has been known to spend a few dollars in his day, that could be another interesting landing spot.
Of course as they get spurned by other big time free agents you can add the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks to this list as well.
What do you think? Does Brewer stay or does he bolt?
