So far, The players that seems like that will most likely be on the Rockets Roster for next season,
Point Guard : Patrick Beverley, Gary Payton (Fingers Crossed), Pablo Prigioni
Shooting Guard : James Harden, Eric Gordon, K.J. McDaniels
Small Forward : Trevor Ariza, Corey Brewer, Sam Dekker
Power Foward : Ryan Anderson, Michael Beasley, Donatas Motiejunas, Josh Smith
Center : Clint Capela, Nene Hilario, Chinanu Onuaku
Of course, Gary Payton and Donatas Motiejuans, and Josh Smith are still questionable as to if they will be on the roster since they have not been signed.
Looking at the current roster, I really am confused on what the Rockets rotation will be, Maybe Harden at point? Maybe Gordon at point? Who knows. The team at the moment does look like they could live up to the hype of reaching the western conference finals, but who knows? Starting point guard during that run, Jason Terry, isn't on the roster anymore. The roster is fine as it is right now, but there are some upgrades and fixes to make the roster even better before the season starts.
Point Guard Issue
Every thinks that Patrick Beverly is not starting point guard material, neither do I, but he seems to fit with Harden. However, some trade targets that might be a possibility is Eric Bledsoe, Goran Dragic, Ricky Rubio, and of course, Russell Westbrook. Any of these trades would most likely be for Corey Brewer, KJ McDaniels ( as sad as I am) and multiple Picks and some magic.
The most likely trade that would actually work is for Eric Bledsoe, assuming that the suns bet on Eric Bledsoe's recovery to be long and painful. The trade would include Brewer and KJ and some picks for straight up Bledsoe, since the Suns do have Knight.
Another Possibility is for Ricky Rubio. The same package for Bledsoe, but this time, the Timberwolves have lots of young talent at point, which could mean the Timberwolves will be more willing to let go of Rubio.
Goran Dragic and Russell Westbrook are still somewhat of a possibility, providing that the Heat and Thunder are willing to go into full rebuilding mode, but very unlikely.
These trades might still be a dream, But which of the following point guard would you like see the Houston Rockets trade for?
