T-Mobile Trivia Challenge Winners + New Trivia
For everyone who posted the following answer to today's trivia question...
"Lowry, Battier, Brooks, Hayes"
... I'm sorry to inform you that you are wrong. Stats don't lie. Hayes has a higher ATR than Brooks does. Thus, today's winners are:
McRevolt and Ron E
Congratulations, folks. Check your e-mail.

Now, because I'm doing the next trivia in this here post, we can go back to predictions. Hooray for fairness!
Brandon Roy will not be playing for the Blazers tomorrow night. Will this allow Trevor Ariza to relax and find his stroke? Sounds like cheap reasoning, but you never know. Anyway, how many points will Ariza score against the Blazers. ALSO, as a tie-breaker, include what his FG% will be as well. Good luck!

T-Mobile Trivia Challenge
As far as trivia is concerned, I can't wait until the Rockets take a little road trip. Actually, given the recent three-game home losing streak, it might not be a bad thing for the good guys to see a change of scenery. But, since the Rockets host Portland (without Brandon Roy) tomorrow night, it's time for more trivia shenanigans. From what I've been told, the seats are ridiculously good.
Here is the trivia question: Put these Rockets in order of their assist/turnover ratio (in other words, for every ___ assists, Hakeem turns the ball over ___ times) from highest to lowest: Aaron Brooks, Kyle Lowry, Chuck Hayes, and Shane Battier.
You have until around 6 o'clock tonight to answer. Good luck!
UPDATE: For competition's sake, don't post any statistics. Just the four names, or else you will be DQ'd. Thanks.

T-Mobile Trivia Challenge Winners
In probably the dumbest attempt to pose a decent trivia question in years, the two winners, after a freakin' gigantic random number draw, are:
olivarezq1 and jasonmicron
E-mail michelle@sbnation.com for your tickets. Congratulations, and I promise the next question will not be so easy.
UPDATE: One of you has not e-mailed Michelle yet. It's too late, sorry. Check your e-mail to see if Michelle has contacted you.

T-Mobile Trivia Challenge - Game 3: January 25th vs. Atlanta
Whoops! It took me until about a minute ago to realize that the next ticket give-away is for tomorrow's game against the Atlanta Hawks. So... predictions aren't going to suffice.
Here is the trivia question:
Usage (i.e. how much a player dominates the ball) has become a much more interesting statistic over the last couple of years, and was a major point of discussion for the Houston Rockets entering this season. So, with that in mind, put the following four Rockets in order of their usage rates for the 2009-2010 season (greatest to smallest): Trevor Ariza, Carl Landry, Shane Battier, and Chuck Hayes.
Good luck! You have until noon tomorrow to make your best guess.

T-Mobile Trivia Challenge Winners - Game 2
Sorry for the late notice, people. Here are the winners of the trivia challenge:
1. Fiddycent
2. Artest4Prez
Basically, it depended upon how many total numbers you were off by. Fiddycent missed it by one assist, and was the only person to miss the final count (13/9/2) by just one. There was a five-way tie for the second pair of tickets, and after using a random number generator, the winner was Artest4Prez.
Winners: E-mail me right away. Also, expect to be getting an e-mail from Michelle Cordua, our ticket coordinator.
Congratulations.
UPDATE: Neither one of you has responded. Hurry up, fellas. E-mail michelle@sbnation.com for the tickets.

T-Mobile Trivia Challenge - Game 2: January 23rd vs. Chicago Bulls
To review:
1. I pose the question below concerning an upcoming game. It could be something like "how many minutes will Brian Cook see tonight?" Okay, that's a little cruel.
2. You make your best guess. You will have until the game starts to guess the answer to the question. Once the game starts, the comments section will be closed.
3. Ideally, we will have two winners. If there is a five-way tie, then our ticket coordinator will use a random number generator to select two winners.
4. Each winner will receive two tickets. We here at TDS encourage social interaction, and would like to avoid forcing you to go a game by yourself.
5. I'm going to announce the winner/winners as soon as I can once the game ends. If it's obvious that you won, e-mail me (click on the mail icon next to my name at the bottom of the page), and I will send your e-mail address to our ticket coordinator - she will hook you up from there.
6. Any cheaters trying to send me an e-mail claiming they won will be caught. I have more power than you realize. Be scared, cheaters.
Here's the question:
The Rockets play the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night. Luis Scola, recently named the winner of our first T-Mobile Player of the Week award, was originally a Spur before becoming a Rocket. Coming off a 27-point performance against the Bucks, Luis will be looking to continue his solid play. In fact, Luis also had fourteen assists this week. So, on that note, how many points, rebounds, and assists will Luis Scola rack up against the San Antonio Spurs?
Good luck!

T-Mobile Trivia Challenge Winners
Okay, so we had four members come closest to the correct number of points that Aaron Brooks scored tonight against Miami. Thus, we had a random number draw, and the two winners are:
awesomesauce and jdcedeno
If you are one of these two guys, make sure that you e-mail me ASAP. I will forward it to our ticket coordinator, and she will get you your tickets. Congratulations!

T-Mobile Trivia Challenge - Game 1: January 18th vs. Milwaukee Bucks
All right folks, in conjunction with my post this morning, we are going to be doing our trivia challenge for four free tickets to Monday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. I realize the Bucks just lost Michael Redd for the season, but I'm telling you, the chance to watch Brandon Jennings play in his new flat-top hairstyle is definitely worth a free ticket.
Thanks to a great idea from Seth of Posting and Toasting, it's going to be more of a prediction than a trivia question. Basically, here's what is going to happen:
Clear enough? Okay, let's play.
This question applies to Friday's game against the Miami Heat. Aaron Brooks scored a career-high 43 points last night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. How many points will Brooks score against Dwyane Wade and the Heat?
Good luck!
