Game 16 Preview: Oklahoma City Thunder at Houston Rockets

What do you want me to write? I feel like I should be putting something educational on here, since at least Xiane is giving you cooking lessons.

Maybe when my histology lectures start I can begin teaching you the wonders of tissue cultures under light microscopy? Wouldn't that be wonderful?

Rockets get the Thunder at home. They're pretty good. Have this guy named Durant, you see.

The Rockets have used 9 different starting lineups through 15 games. Just awesome.

On to the matchups...

Matchups:

PG: Kyle Lowry vs. Russell Westbrook:

The Rockets face the Team USA point guard. Awesome. Westbrook is putting up some sick stats: 24/9/5/2. He has forcefully inserted himself into the "Best Young Point Guard" argument, and positively carried the Thunder when Durant was injured earlier this season.

Oh, Kyle. You're passing well. Now let's get to the cup.

Advantage: Thunder

SG: Kevin Martin vs. Thabo Sefolosha:

Sefolosha is their stopper. Generally, these matchups go to the scorer, and this is no exception.

Speed Racer, 6-17 just ain't gonna cut it. Get to the cup, too, and draw some contact.

Advantage: Rockets

SF: Shane Battier vs. Kevin Durant:

28/7/3 on 42%. You're better than that, Durantula. I know it.

Advantage: Thunder

PF: Luis Scola vs. Jeff Green:

Green got his starting job back since the last time we saw him. Good for hi, but he is questionable.

Luis, apparently we need 40/20 from you nightly. Go get it. And make a free throw.

Advantage: Rockets

C: Chuck Hayes vs. Nenad Krstic:

Come on Chuck. Where's that LeBron-mode you flirted with the other night? Bring that back. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but go get some free throws.

Krstic may not start because he's questionable. Expect Serge Ibaka if the old fart can't go.

Advantage: Even

Bench:

Thunder: Eric Maynor, James Harden, Daequan Cook, Serge Ibaka, Cole Aldrich

Rockets: Ish Smith, Courtney Lee, Brad Miller, Jordan Hill, Jared Jeffries, Chase Budinger

Advantage: Definitely Thunder

Injuries:

Thunder: Jeff Green questionable, Krstic questionable

Rockets: Brooks out, Yao out

Prediction: Another day, another loss
