It's finally time to begin the regular season and this year we are off to a good start. There aren't any asterisks, lockouts, significant injuries or coaching changes to excuse ourselves with. James Harden has agreed to an $80 million dollar deal over the course of five years . Jeremy Lin is healthy and ready to prove that Linsanity was no fluke. Patrick Patterson is likely to miss tonight's game but Marcus Morris is healthy again (and will start) while Terrence Jones has already opened some eyes as a starter for the Rockets. Omer Asik has emerged as one of the most underrated signings of the summer.

Ak2themax said it best earlier this morning, but I'd like to reiterate that tonight we start writing a new chapter in the Rockets history. We have a franchise caliber player and a versatile young core. We've got a great mix of defense and offense and a plethora of young talent (even after losing Jeremy Lamb). It will be fascinating to see how James Harden can enhance the pace and polish of the Rocket's offensive tempo. Now is an exciting time to be a Rockets fan. Let's get a win!
