Even in an up-and-down early season, the Rockets still seemed likely to roll past Toronto on Monday night at home, but Kyle Lowry and the Raptors were to have none of it. In an absolute thriller, the Rockets fought their way past the Raptors, earning the 110-104 double overtime victory. Jeremy Lin was the story for the Rockets, scoring 31 points off the bench, and he was supported by Dwight Howard, who dominated the Raptors front court to the tune of 18 points and 24 rebounds.
James Harden had a touch-and-go night, hitting a clutch three at one point, but struggling with turnovers and his shot all night. He seemed to be fighting the foot injury he has been dealing with in the last week, but still managed 26 points on the night.
