Houston Rockets, Terrence Jones blow by Boston Celtics, 109-85

The Rockets got a big night from Terrence Jones and coasted by the Celtics easily. A quick recap of the exciting night.

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Kevin McHale and the Rockets took to the Toyota Center court on Tuesday night hoping to continue their success against the Boston Celtics. From the tip, it was obvious that they would have no problem. After a dominating performance in all facets of the game, Terrence Jones and the Rockets dominated the Celtics, 109-85. Dwight Howard added 10 points and 11 rebounds, James Harden had 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, and the Rockets rolled past the Celtics easily.

Omer Asik got out of the doghouse with some garbage time minutes, but he was not the big story. Terrence Jones continued his ascendance with his best game as a Rocket, scoring a career high 24 points and grabbing 9 rebounds, further improving his case to continue starting at power forward. Donatas Motiejunas got some limited run as a center, and a number of other bench players added minor contributions.

With a game looming tomorrow night, the Rockets got a big win and some rest for their starters. Stay tuned for more on a fun night.
