Jeremy Lin out with back injury, Terrence Jones questionable with the flu for Rockets vs. Kings

The Rockets were getting close to full strength, but Jeremy Lin and Terrence Jones may both miss tonight's game against the Kings.

Steve Dykes-USA TODAY Sports

The Rockets have been dealing with a ton of injuries lately, but they seemed to be close to returning to full health after Jeremy Lin and Greg Smith returned to the team this week. Unfortunately, the injury bug bit again as Lin will miss tonight's game against the Kings and Terrence Jones will likely be out while dealing with the flu.

Lin suffered a totally real, not trade related injury (editor's note: I'm totally kidding. Please don't take this the wrong way) against the Warriors on Friday when he banged into Andrew Bogut on a screen, and has been dealing with back spasms. Let's hope this does not become a lasting thing for him. Meanwhile, with Terrence Jones likely out, Donatas Motiejunas will almost certainly start at power forward, leaving Greg Smith, who hasn't seen game action since returning from injury, as the only available big off the bench.

The Kings are a talented bunch, and they will certainly challenge the injury-ridden Rockets tonight. Check back here at 5 CST as it's an early one!
