The Houston Rockets completed a wonderful fall from the sixth seed in the Western Conference all the way down to the 8th seed in two games this week, giving them a matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Let's take a look at their schedule.
Game 1: Sunday, April 21st at 8:30 CT in Oklahoma City (TNT)
Game 2: Wednesday, April 24th at 6:00 CT in Oklahoma City (TNT)
Game 3: Saturday, April 27th at 8:30 CT in Houston (ESPN)
Game 4: Monday, April 29th (Time TBD) in Houston
Game 5 (if needed): Wednesday, May 1st (Time TBD) in Oklahoma City
Game 6 (if needed): Friday, May 3rd (Time TBD) in Houston
Game 7 (if needed): Sunday, May 5th (Time TBD) in Oklahoma City
Welcome to the NBA Playoffs, guys. If the Rockets and Thunder go the distance, the series will take over 2 weeks to complete. About the only upside I see to this is that Royce White's bus should be able to make it between Oklahoma City and Houston with that extra time.
On a more serious level, even though it's a bummer to catch the Thunder, this series promises to be extremely exciting and the Rockets dodged the NBATV bullet. Look for a lot more playoff content on the site in the coming days.
