Dwight Howard has made his decision, reports say (UPDATED)

Dwight Howard has decided where he will be signing, according to Janis Carr of the Orange County Register. When will he announce his decision?

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

According to Janis Carr of the Orange County Register, Dwight Howard has made his decision on what team to join in free agency. And, because he doesn't want to be like all those mainstream guys getting his decision tweeted out by Woj, Howard will announce his decision himself on twitter.

Here's Carr's report:

With all the momentum that the Warriors have been picking up in recent hours, my initial reaction was that the fact that Howard is holding off on his decision is bad news for the Rockets. After all, if he were to pick the Warriors, they would want him to keep his decision quiet so that they could have leverage in talks to move more than $30 million that it would take to give Howard his max deal.

Perhaps I'm giving Dwight too much credit here. After all, as Greg Wissinger of Sactown Royalty pointed out to me, does Dwight really have the foresight to be concerned with that? After all, despite whatever reports there are out there, it would take a remarkable combination of moves to get Howard to Golden State, even if that is what he wants.

Most likely, Howard is just milking the situation to get more attention on him. He is a big baby that wants his chance in the spotlight, his chance to be wanted, and this is the last shot at that for him for at least the next three years. And as the teams in the Dwight sweepstakes mull their alternate plans, we are forced to wait.
