Houston Rockets vs. Dallas Mavericks game preview

The Rockets head to Dallas for a back-to-back against a rested Mavericks squad.

Andrew Richardson-USA TODAY Spor

The Rockets will look to build upon their big victory over the Spurs tonight when they face a Dallas Mavericks team that they are 1-2 against this season.

The Mavs have veterans at every position and have stayed healthy for most of the season. Their top 7 players have missed a total of 9 games. Meanwhile, the Rockets' top 6 players have missed 44, with that number sure to increase with James Harden's injury.

Speaking of which, I don't know what Harden's status is for tonight, but I'll update as soon as we find out.

After tonight, the Rockets play 5 winnable games before the All-Star break. Then, coming out of the break, they have a 5-game road trip on the West coast that includes a pair of back-to-backs.

Basically, it's important for the Rockets to end the pre-All-Star break portion of the schedule with some momentum since they'll need it coming out of the break.

How do you think the Rockets will do tonight?

Tip-off is at 7:30pm CST.
