So this is your gamethread. We've seen one quarter of play. What can we say about this quarter?
Well, the Rockets more or less obliterated the Celtics in the first quarter. The disappointments of the first quarter appear to be that the Rockets did not score 40 in the quarter, and that the Celtics managed to score 20. Both were out of the flow of the game.
Isaiah Canaan started tonight in the place of an injured Patrick Beverley. I thought he looked fine in the first, and also appeared to be keeping his own game in check to prove himself as a ballhander and defender. So far, so good. I think what we've seen from him.
Apparently no one on the Celtics can guard Terrence Jones, who put up 12 in the first, mostly at the rim.
But for all the prospect mavens, the bench should get a lot of time tonight if the team can keep up this effort, as long as the bench doesn't run themselves out of the game with silly turnovers and badly thought out shots.
