Terrence Jones won't play tonight for the Rockets against the Miami Heat, but Patrick Beverley is back after missing the last two games with a strained hamstring.
Jones is sitting down with a sore right leg he hurt last night against the Sixers. Tarik Black is also going to sit with a bruised thigh, meaning the Rockets will have Dwight Howard, Donatas Motiejunas, Clint Capela and Joey Dorsey available as bigs, with Kostas Papanikolaou possibly filling in as a stretch four.
I don't think this affects the Rockets' chances too much. Missing Jones is a problem, but power forward is where the Heat are weakest (Shawne Williams starts for them). I hope Big Papa starts and gives the lineup another shooter. With Canaan now moved back to the bench, another player who can hit three-pointers would be really helpful against the rangy Heat.
Beverley is more important, because he'll be able to prevent Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole from getting easy three-pointers. Canaan's not terrible, but he's no P-Bev.
