Rockets vs. Nuggets game thread: Houston close to full strength

New, comments

And yet, so far.

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Isaiah Canaan is likely playing tonight, joining Dwight Howard as Rockets coming back from injuries. Jason Terry won't be playing, so maybe that means we get a funky backcourt of Canaan, Nick Johnson and James Harden, for experimentation reasons.

But Dwight's knee is stiff and sore, he said after practice yesterday. Who knows what Canaan is capable of right now on his ankle, and the altitude in Denver shouldn't help the already-wearing-down Trevor Ariza.

I'm optimistic about the Rockets -- how could you not be at this point -- but the stress of all these games missed, even if it looks like there's a light at the end of the tunnel, is starting to get to me.

Rockets 98-91. 9:30 p.m. CT start time on ESPN (or Root Sports, if you're a masochist).
