Rockets vs. Nuggets Game Preview

New, comments

The Playoffs are coming....

Scott Halleran

You guys are getting shafted with another short preview today since AK is too busy maxing out this weekend and everyone else on staff (and the internet, for that matter) is too busy catching up on the comings and goings of Westeros. But its a good day for House Houston as Friday's victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder clinched Houston its 28th all time playoff berth. Of course we knew that Houston was headed for the playoffs this season but it's never a good idea to count any dragons before they hatch. Denver, meanwhile, has been eliminated from playoff contention.

In a few hours we face off against the Denver Nuggets in the Toyota Center, who, not-for-nothing, have historically  been bit of a bain in Houston's side. Denver has gone 9-15 in the last 24 road games against the Rockets since the 2001-02 season, but have won four out of the last five in Houston. Additionally, The House Mile High has played more overtime games against Houston than any other franchise in the NBA (12),

Vanguard Players:

Houston: Jeremy Lin, James Harden, Chandler Parsons, Terrence Jones, Omer Asik

Denver: Quincy Miller, Kenny Faried, Timmy Mosgov, Randy Foye, Ty Lawson

Off to see the Maester:

Denver: Wilson Chandler – Left Groin Strain. Out. Danilo Gallinari – Left Knee ACL Tear. Out. JJ Hickson – Right ACL Tear. Out. Ty Lawson – Left Ankle Sprain. Day-to-day. Javale McGee  – Left Tibia Stress Fracture. Out. Nate Robinson– Left ACL Sprain. Out.

Houston: Pat Beverley (right knee sprain) and Greg Smith (arthroscopic right knee procedure) are out. Dwight Howard (left ankle strain) is day-to-day.

This game will be on CSN Houston. Here's your obligatory DIE IN A FIRE, COMCAST because I still can't watch Rockets games in my area.
