After a crushing loss that saw the Rockets blow a last minute lead in game four, things were not looking up for their prospects of advancing. Game five saw a vastly different result, as the Rockets put together their most complete performance, and, except for a brief stretch in the fourth quarter, controlled most of the game. With their playoff lives still on the line, the Rockets travel to Portland tonight to take on the Blazers at 10:30 on ESPN.
The Rockets will be hoping to continue their strong defense against LaMarcus Aldridge, who finally slowed down in game five with just eight points, and keep Jeremy Lin hot. Lin, who drew the ire of Rockets fans after a crucial turnover in the last minute of game four, responded with a massive game five to help propel the Rockets to victory.
Post your pregame thoughts here. Do you think the Rockets will be able to keep up their play from game five, or will a bounceback game from Aldridge with the Rose Garden crowd behind him be enough for the Blazers to advance?
