Rockets consider Harden trade to get LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, Chris Broussard says

LOL.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

According to ESPN's Chris Broussard, the Rockets would consider moving James Harden to the Knicks in a sign-and-trade deal to acquire Carmelo Anthony in a summer swing that would see them send Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin elsewhere for cap space and also sign LeBron James. Sounds interesting. Except for who reported it.

If the option is sign nobody or sign LeBron and Anthony while jettisoning Harden, the Rockets would do it in a second. But if LeBron James is willing to join the Rockets but won't sign unless they trade the league's best shooting guard who's entering his prime for a still extremely effective but aging forward in Carmelo Anthony, he might just be as dumb as some in the media make him out to be. The fact is that the only thing that makes sense in this report is that the reporter is just as dumb as the report itself.

The draft is tomorrow and free agency starts in a week. Buckle up, because the BS train is just getting started.
