The Houston Rockets, after drafting Clint Capela to stash in Europe, took Arizona's leading scorer from last year, Nick Johnson, with their lone second round pick this year.
Johnson was the Pac-12 Player of the Year last year despite sharing a team with No. 4 overall pick Aaron Gordon. Johnson averaged 16.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists for the Wildcats, who were ranked No. 1 in the country for months.
Johnson is just 6'3 in shoes, so there might be some clamoring for him to get some run at point guard, but that's not where he fits. If he makes the Rockets -- far from a guarantee -- he figures to be a bench scoring type who brings some toughness, too. He and Troy Daniels might make a nice little wing pairing, depending on what the team looks like after they acquire LeBron James and Kevin Love at the same time.
