It took only four minutes for Kevin Garnett and Dwight Howard to start beefing in the first quarter of last night's Rockets 113 - 99 win. The altercation will cost Dwight Howard a $15,000 fine and cost Kevin Garnett a one game suspension to be served during a Nets bout with the Orlando Magic.
The fine comes from Dwight Howard's response to KG's headbutt. The two big men got wrapped up and did some small shoving before KG put a basketball into Dwight's back followed with a headbutt. While the two were being separated Dwight took a half-swing that caught KG in the neck, that'll cost him $15,000. The NBA official language said it's "for pushing Garnett in the neck area."

And another angle:
The best part of the fight: Patrick Beverley playing the unlikely role of mitigation and a referee being the "HOLD ME BACK" guy on Dwight.
Also Jay Z saw the fight. So someone will read something into that.
