AK has the most reasonable reason I can think of for why, on God's green earth, the Rockets are playing on the second night of a back-to-back after traveling from Orlando last night at the same time the Thunder are coming off a five-day rest.
The Thunder could have walked to Houston with all the time they had off in between games, and still practiced and gotten a good night's sleep before tonight's game.
Google Maps tells me it takes 152 hours to walk to Houston, which is six days and eight hours. They're tall super-athletes. They can do it in four. Maybe some jogging here and there.
Here's the thing, though: nothing makes sense in the NBA. The Rockets just lost to the Orlando Magic after playing great basketball for four games against teams just as bad as the Disney World crew. It would be so NBA if they walloped the Thunder tonight.
A boy can dream.
