The Rockets will be playing the Lakers in Los Angeles tonight, with the Lakers in their Sunday whites. Dwight Howard is listed as a game-time decision with a sprained ankle.
Dwight told the media he's not expecting to play tonight, but ankles are weird. If he doesn't play, Feigen said Joey Dorsey is expected to start. I'm ambivalent about this because Dorsey is clearly worse at center than Donatas Motiejunas and Josh Smith is a better player. But Smith will likely play starter's minutes, so it really doesn't matter who starts, just who finishes.
Clint Capela was recalled from RGV for insurance, but as with the last time he was recalled for a big man injury, I doubt he plays unless there's foul trouble or another injury, god forbid. He's been beasting -- statistically speaking -- at RGV, but from reports of people who have seen him play, he doesn't look quite NBA ready, just able to feast on small, inferior competition.
Speaking of small, inferior competition, the Lakers' big man rotation is Jordan Hill, Carlos Boozer, Ed Davis and Robert Sacre. There's no Kobe Bryant. Jeremy Lin and Nick Young will probably lead the Lakers in shots. This should work out OK.
