Rockets vs. Cavaliers game thread: No LeBron James for ESPN showdown

The Cavs will be without their best player. Can the Rockets take advantage?

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

It's the first night of a national television back-to-back on the road against Eastern Conference teams missing their best player that was in the Top 3 of the 2003 NBA Draft.

Tonight, the Rockets play the Cavs with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, but without Darko Milicic. And that LeBron guy.

The Rockets acquitted themselves decently against the Bulls on Monday and the Cavs are an inferior team right now. They'll have J.R. Smith available so that should play in the Rockets' favor. I don't think Iman Shumpert will play, so there will be literally no one capable of guarding James Harden, outside of maybe 90-year-old Shawn Marion or 85-year-old Mike Miller.
