Rockets-Suns game thread: Late night hoops

It's the preseason, and this game will go past my bedtime

Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY Sports

I know it wouldn't be fair to West Coast teams if there were forbidden from hosting teams from farther east during the preseason, but, frankly, I don't care.

I live in Washington, DC. This game starts at 10 p.m. my time. It doesn't count. I would like to watch it, since the only game I've been able to watch in the preseason thus far has been the one where almost no one played (you can read my recap of that one here).

In this one, Dwight Howard, James Harden, Ty Lawson and Marcus Thornton won't play tonight, per Jonathan Feigen. Presumably, that means that Terrence Jones and Montrezl Harrell are playing. That excites me. Hopefully they will play largely in the first half.

You can read my thoughts on the Rockets needing to stay healthy tonight in the game preview I attempted to write for AK today.
