The first game of the season made me much less excited for the second. There are still lots of issues to sort out for the Rockets, not the least of which is how their All-Star caliber point guard will learn to play with their MVP-caliber shooting guard.
But, tonight, against the Golden State Warriors, the Rockets have their All-Star center manning the middle. Many of the issues they had against the Nuggets will be covered up by Dwight Howard, free of suspension and hopefully free of the back issues that have plagued him in one way or another for four years.
But the Golden State Warriors are terrifyingly good. The Rockets won only one game against them last year — when they were down 3-0 in the Western Conference Finals. This is a scary matchup. But it also has the potential to be incredibly exciting, if Houston can win. Discuss below.
