As Rockets head coach Kevin McHale's rotation beings to flesh itself out, the young, 'inexperienced' players are spending more time riding the pine. K.J. McDaniels was surprisingly sent down to the D-League early this week, now Sam Dekker appears set to join him on the Rio Grande Valley Vipers roster.
Sam Dekker did not travel with the Rockets. Heading to the D-League, McHale said.

Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen is reported that Dekker didn't make the trip to Denver for the Rockets' game against the Nuggets.
The Rockets selected Dekker with 18th-overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft out of the University of Wisconsin. Dekker played in six minutes this season with the Rockets, recording a steal and a rebound against the Golden State Warriors. In the Rockets' last six games, Dekker hasn't seen any action.
Dekker played in eight game (one start) in the preseason, he averaged 5 points and 2.6 rebounds in 18.5 minutes.
McDaniels and Dekker on the Vipers? Time to start watching some D-League, I guess.
