Corey Brewer sends game to overtime with 3-point runner

The greyhound knows how to run, so I guess 3-point runners come as second nature.

A Houston Rockets game against Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers needs no extra hype. Houston fans still remember the playoff game-winner Lillard hit against the Rockets two seasons ago.

But, with the firing of long-time head coach Kevin McHale and the first game for J.B. Bickerstaff happening on the same day, there was a little extra mustard on this game. So of course, the game ended in dramatic fashion in overtime.

Setting up that overtime was Rockets small forward Corey Brewer. Brewer caught a pass from James Harden with 3.7 second left on clock and the Rockets down three. Brewer took the pass on a hop just past midcourt, took one stride, leaned off his leg and threw up a prayer of a shot.

The shot went down, tieing the game at 99-all. Houston would outscore Portland nine to four in overtime to secure the 108-103 win in Bickerstaff's first game at the helm.
