With the holidays upon us, you can expect some pretty light fare in the next few previews. Soon enough you'll be back to reading AK ramble on about this and that. But for now, we'll be covering the basics.
At the time of this writing, the Grizzlies are about to tip off against the Dallas Mavericks. Zach Randolph is questionable for the game so in true Rockets luck fashion, he will probably sit against the Mavs so he can go against the Rockets tomorrow. That's the same Rockets squad that has no answer for Z-Bo, mind you. The only thing close for Houston will be when Donatas Motiejunas comes back, since his length and size give him an advantage over Terrence Jones in that area. Z-Bo did miss the last meeting between these two clubs last Friday.
For the Rockets, I don't even want to talk about them anymore. Here's all you need to know: the best shooting percentage by a non-big for the Rockets is Marcus Thornton at 39.9%. No, I will not round that up.
One more fact: Memphis is allowing opponents to shoot 38% from 3 against them this season. If Houston shoots above 30% from distance it will be a miracle.
Tip-off is at 7pm CST on NBA TV.
