James Harden is Player of the Week just days after the worst start in NBA history

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Rockets went 0-3 in the first week of the 2015-16 NBA season while James Harden shot 12 of 54 (22.2%) in those three losses. It was a historically bad start.

In the week since the Rockets have rolled through 4 straight wins and now sit at 4-3 with Harden going 45 of 97 (46.4) to set the tone and garner himself the Western Conference Player of the Week award.

From NBA.com:

For the week, he averaged 38.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.50 steals in 41.0 minutes per game while shooting 46.4% from the floor, 34.9% from 3-point range and 84.5% from the line.
