Dwight Howard passes Ben Wallace for 30th all-time NBA history in rebounds

Dwight Howard march into the NBA history books continues as he collected 16 rebounds against the New Orleans Pelicans Wednesday night. Howard passed Ben Wallace for 30th all-time in NBA History in rebounds with 10,486. Wallace had 10,481 over his 18-year career.

Howard currently has 172 rebounds this season, and currently averages 873.8 rebounds per season. If Howard finishes within total he would be within range of surpassing David Robinson (10,497), Jack Sikma (10,816), and Bill Bridges (11,054).

Howard currently has the 11th highest career rebounds per game average, 12.7. All-time great Wilt Chamberlain leader in both total and average with 23,924, 22.9 per game.

Former Rockets Dikembe Mutombo (No. 19, 12,359), Hakeem Olajuwon (No.13, 13,748), and Moses Malone (No. 5, 16,212) are still ahead of Howard.

The Rockets defeated the Pelicans Wednesday night,  108-101. Howard had eight points, 16 rebounds, and three blocks.
