Rockets vs. Hornets game thread: The quest to get over .500

New, comments

The Rockets haven't been over .500 in weeks. That could change tonight.

Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY Sports

Beating up on the Lakers is nothing special, but with the Rockets' win over the Clippers on Saturday, Houston now has momentum to build upon, theoretically. That momentum is something they haven't capitalized on yet this year.

With Jeremy Lin back in town, an Eastern Conference opponent, albeit a good one so far, and a home game, the pieces are there to show the flashes of team ball we have seen aren't a mirage, but rather a foundation to build upon. Or like every other time I've written a game thread with this theme, the team will crash down back to earth, play like garbage, and lose by 15.
