The Houston Rockets plan to K.J. McDaniels and rookie Montrezl Harrell back to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA Development League, per sources close to Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen.

The moves are not yet official, following the Rockets' 88-84 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Christmas Day.
This will be the second sent on the Vipers' roster for both McDaniels and Harrell.
McDaniels has appeared in 10 games this season, averaging 1.7 and 0.9 rebounds in 4.3 minutes. McDaniels has only played in three games since the start of December.
Harrell has appeared in 17 games, including one start, averaging 3.3 points and 1.7 rebounds in 9.3 minutes. He has played in only two games since return from the Vipers.
