The Rockets' last win over the Dallas Mavericks — on the road, with no Dwight Howard — was an important one. They played hard, played together and pulled out a win.
Tonight, they have Dwight Howard back. They are facing an even worse team, and they're doing it at home. If they win, it's five wins in six games and they'll be 10-11. They're already in playoff position (somehow), and they're just two and a half games back of the No. 3 seed.
Have they looked anything like the team they were last year? No. But the West is not what it was last year, and it's still just a quarter of the way through the season. The sky isn't falling anymore.
