Houston Rockets vs. Washington Wizards game preview

The Rockets look to get back to their winning ways when they take on the Wizards.

Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports

There are two halves to a basketball game. Someone should tell the Rockets.

After blowing their chance to get back to .500, the Rockets will have to work hard to avoid falling into a deeper hole when they take on the Washington Wizards.

The Wizards have had a disappointing start to their season too. However, they have everything that will kill the Rockets. They have young players, they have a point guard that can score, they hustle, and they run the fast break.

All of that will usually add up to a 50-point loss if the Rockets play the way they have against Eastern Conference teams.

Oh, and the Ariza Rule? It's still in play. And if Trevor keeps missing time, the Rockets aren't winning until he comes back. This could get really bad really fast.

James Harden won't play poorly two nights in a row. At least that's what I tell myself at night. Nevertheless, the Rockets are on a back-to-back and the Wizards are a young team that runs. This has the makings of a blowout loss.
