Patrick Beverley questionable for tonight's game with flu-like symptoms

Houston's walking wounded could add another name to DNP list for tonight's game against the Timberwolves.

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The Rockets are already without center Dwight Howard for an unknown amount of time with a knee injury, and Houston could be without another starter tonight against the Timberwolves: Patrick Beverley has flu-like symptoms and is questionable.

Beverley is averaging 10.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game this season. In the Rockets' two game since the All-Star Break, Beverley has struggled. He is shooting just 13.3 percent (2-17) from field and 18.2 percent (2-11) from behind the arc.

With Beverley out, the Rockets would turn to a combination of James Harden handling the ball, Jason Terry, and new addition Pablo Prigioni to run the point. Rookie Nick Johnson has been recalled from the Vipers, to add more depth.  The Rockets' deficiency at the point will be all too glaring tonight with the young T-Wolves in town.

The Rockets are 12-2 this season with Beverly out of the lineup.
