Terrence Jones and Jason Terry starting, Patrick Beverley out

A big change for the Rockets' lineup tonight

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Patrick Beverley isn't playing tonight with flu-like symptoms, but the biggest change for the Rockets' lineup tonight comes in the frontcourt.

Terrence Jones is back starting at power forward, Donatas Motiejunas slides to center and Joey Dorsey, mercifully, hits the bench.

Kostas Papanikolaou is out tonight and Jason Terry replaces Patrick Beverley, so here's the rotation tonight:

PG: Jason Terry, Pablo Prigioni, Nick Johnson
SG: James Harden, Corey Brewer
SF: Trevor Ariza, K.J. McDaniels
PF: Terrence Jones, Josh Smith
C: Donatas Motiejunas, Joey Dorsey

I like this a lot more, even though I'm concerned about disrupting the bench's chemistry I literally just wrote about. Jones is getting healthy and needs more minutes. Joey Dorsey should get as few minutes as possible. With no Beverley, we get to see how Prigioni directs the half-court offense with the bench, a potentially key story line in the playoffs.

Rockets fans have been pleading for McHale to cut Dorsey's playing time, and some for Motiejunas to switch to the 5. He finally listened, so we'll see how it works tonight against the Wolves and, hopefully, moving forward.
