Rockets vs. Nets game thread: All of the injuries

Who is even going to play for this team?

Maybe James Harden and Patrick Beverley will suit up tonight. Who knows?

(You, in the comments, know because you are in the future and I am in the present. Or I am in the past and you are in the present. Either way, congrats on the time travel guys and gals)

If neither of them can go, the Rockets will be a skeleton crew without a reliable offensive initiator against a Nets team that has a bunch of veterans on it. Not a good position to be in.

On the other hand, that means more minutes for Corey Brewer, more minutes for the Brewer-Ariza-Terry-Smith-Smoove lineup that has a defensive rating of 72.9, according to Red94, or the same lineup with Donatas Motiejunas in Jones' place that is still giving up less than 75 points per 100 possessions.

No matter who plays, today should be the day K.J. McDaniels gets his first serious run. He practiced with the team yesterday while Harden sat out, and James shouldn't be playing very many minutes on a bum wheel anyway. It's time to see what the rookie can do, especially against a team that can't match up with his athleticism.
