Terrence Jones: Out With Partially Collapsed Lung

There's no immediate timetable for Jones to return. Only a reassurance he will be reevaluated next week.

In 24 hours Terrence Jones went from soreness to rib injury to pneumothorax. That's doctor for a collapsed lung.

There's no immediate timetable for Jones' injury. He'll be reevaluated next week according to Jonathan Feigen.

This is another unfortunate episode in Jones' season. He had 10 points in nine minutes before suffering the first half injury, an obtuse metaphor for a season where Jones has showed serious promise but also missed 41 games with a mysterious nerve injury.

Jones had secured a spot in the Rockets starting lineup since his return and seemed poised to start next to a healthy Dwight Howard. Instead Donatas Motiejunas will likely fill the starting power forward role upon Howard's return.

McHale expects to lean on Josh Smith and Joey Dorsey while Jones and Howard remain out.

The Rockets play the Suns, Pacers, Pelicans and T-Wolves in the next week.
