Houston Rockets vs. Phoenix Suns game preview

The Rockets look for the season sweep of the Phoenix Suns tonight at the Toyota Center.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

After sweeping the Nuggets for the first time in forever, the Rockets look to do it to the Suns. Both Denver and Phoenix have swept the Rockets in recent years (Denver did it just two years ago and Phoenix hardly ever lost during the Steve Nash years), and now Houston has the chance to sweep the both of them in back-to-back games.

What will James Harden do for an encore? Phoenix has P.J. Tucker, who "Harden Stopper" moniker has been questioned but not destroyed this season. Harden won't get 50 against him, but Houston will need a big game from James yet again with Terrence Jones being out with a pneumothorax and Dwight Howard still a week or so away from returning.

Phoenix rode each of their starters for 37 minutes or more to a win over the New Orleans Pelicans. The Suns started the Morris twins, Brandan Wright, P.J. Tucker, and Eric Bledsoe and got a chunk of minutes from Archie Goodwi, T.J. Warren, and Gerald Green off the bench. THe good news for Houston is that once Wright goes to the bench, these teams will be similar in size since Houston will depend on heavy minutes from Josh Smith and Joey Dorsey tonight.

If you were running the Suns, how would you proceed with this team? Complete rebuild? Build around Bledsoe and the Morii twins? Let me know in the comments.

Tip-off is at 7pm CST.
