The preseason is approaching! Rockets fans will get their first look at newbies Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell, and Ty Lawson.

October 6, Rockets @ Memphis - 7:00 PM ct, Root Sports Southwest

In the first preseason matchup, the Rockets take on the Grizzlies in the FedEx Forum. Last year, the Grizzlies lost to the NBA Champions Golden State Warriors in the conference semifinals.

October 7, Rockets vs. Mavericks - 7:00 PM ct, National Television*

The Rockets make their home debut against Southwest division rival Dallas Mavericks. Tickets to the game at the Toyota Center are widely available and cheap for the preseason action. On StubHub, you can get a seat in the main concourse for as little as $35.

October 11, Rockets @ Magic - 6:00 PM ct, National Television*

This will be a game of youngsters as newly signed Montrezl Harrell and Sam Dekker will take on Mario Hezonja, Elfrid Payton, and Aaron Gordon. The contest will be played at State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, TX.

October 13, Rockets @ Suns - 9:00 PM ct, Root Sports Southwest

Unhappy forward, Markieff Morris, who has expressed interest in joining the Rockets, will face many players that he trained with in the offseason.

October 15, Rockets @ Warriors - 9:00 PM ct, TNT

This rematch of the Western Conference Finals will be held at Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA.

October 17, Rockets vs. Heat - 7:00 PM ct, National Television*

Rookie Justise Winslow, a Houston native, will return to his hometown for the first time in his career.

October 19, Rockets vs. Pelicans - 7:00 PM ct, National Television*

Mark it down in your calendars. Even though it’s the preseason, Anthony Davis comes to town on Monday, October 19. Come to the Toyota Center to see the (near) future face of the NBA.

October 23, Rockets @ Spurs - 7:30 PM ct, Root Sports Southwest

The Rockets close out the preseason on the road in San Antonio. The Spurs made an early exit in last year’s first round of the playoffs.
