Dwight Howard has a new shoe deal with the China-based company Peak for the upcoming Rockets season.
"I'm very blessed to be with the company Peak," Howard told Fox Sports Houston on Saturday. "A lot of people ask me why I left Adidas.
"I had a great run with Adidas. Peak is an up and coming company and we're really looking forward to helping them grow in the States."
Howard also pointed to the opportunity to help Peak grow as a global company as a major selling point for the brand. He says, "a brand like Peak that has an opportunity to really grow and become a global brand, it's something that the owner, myself, and everybody under him is looking forward to do."
Peak calls itself the fastest growing basketball footwear company in the world. In addition to Howard, it also has endorsement deals with Tony Parker, Shane Battier and George Hill.
Howard has already designed a custom shoe. It hasn't been released yet but Howard says they look good. No word yet on if they are these
